FacilitiesSet on the Western edge of the island, Maakili Lodge offers 6 comfortable rooms, all with Hot and Cold Water, Air Conditioned, en-suite shower rooms, and a dining terrace overlooking the breathtaking lagoon – west facing to view those fabulous Indian Ocean sunsets!
All rooms have Twin or double beds, Wardrobe and storage space, attached shower rooms with hot and cold water. Rooms have Air conditioning and overhead ceiling fans.
For your use also, is a well equipped kitchen to prepare light snacks and drinks, and breakfasts which you may choose to have waking up to a sunset over the lagoon view of Maakili Lodge - a great start to the day!
Lunch and dinner arrangements can be organized at one of the local café’s and picnic boxes can also be made for you to take out on excursions with you to be enjoyed on a deserted island!
The Breakfast Terrace overlooking the west side of the island lagoon offers uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.. an awe inspiring lookout to start your day. Or maybe you prefer to doze in the afternoon breeze on the Maldivian Swing chair. Don’t forget to look out beyond the sea wall to spot dolphin, tuna, and probably one or two passing or returning fishing boats!

Experience the true Maldives, out and about exploring this amazingly beautiful and serene Atoll in the north of the Maldives. Totally uncommercialised, where life is still simple, mainly fishing communities, where a much slower pace of life is played out.
A range of activities is available from the island, including Sunset and Dolphin watch cruises, swimming and snorkeling trips to deserted islands and sand spits, night fishing trips, beach BBQ’s, and visitors are warmly welcomed to local community events that may be happening on the island at the time.
Arrival in Male’ and Transfers to KomandooYou will be met on arrival in the capital of Male’ and escorted to either Male’ itself or Hulhumale’, where you will most probably stay for you first night or two. Transfers to Komandoo island are by speedboat, and leave the capital on Thursdays, Saturday and Mondays. We’ll guide you through the process before you book flights so you’re really clear on the details!
There are also options to take a seaplane to a neighboring tourist resort, then transfer by boat to Komandoo, at a supplement.
